We are so thrilled to have been able to have hosted the first ever Regional training for local students on the topic of plastic pollution. We are forever grateful to Dr Karen Raubenheimer (University of Wollongong), Mrs Fiona Netting (Wollongong Council) and Mr Andy Gray (Boomerang Alliance) for their willingness to speak at this event and for their constant support of the plastICS team.
200 students from ICS and other schools from our region attended the event and learned not only about the problems with soft-plastic but also what they, as young people, can do to make a real difference. We look forward to following up our attending schools and to supporting them in their plastICS journey.
